The Bry-Air MiniPAC MP-2700 is the largest unit in the MiniPAC series, rated at 2,700 CFM process airflow with an 840 CFM reactivation circuit and a 42 kW heater bank — built for large industrial facilities where refrigerant dehumidification is not viable due to low operating temperatures, extremely high moisture loads, or humidity targets below 30% RH that refrigerant equipment cannot sustain. Unlike smaller MiniPAC units, the MP-2700 includes a touch-screen PLC with MODBUS RS485 communication, enabling integration with building management systems and automated process control environments. It operates on 460V 3-phase power at 61 full-load amps and is designed for continuous 24/7 duty in demanding industrial process environments.
Lithium battery and electronics manufacturing facilities are among the most demanding desiccant dehumidifier applications — lithium battery cell assembly requires relative humidity below 1% RH in dry rooms, a target no refrigerant equipment can approach. The MP-2700 handles the airflow volumes required for large dry room environments at the process scale of industrial battery production. Chemical processing plants and pharmaceutical bulk API manufacturing areas require continuous low-humidity conditions across large process floors where refrigerant equipment's temperature sensitivity and humidity floor limitations disqualify it. Power generation facilities use large desiccant units to protect turbines, generators, and HRSG systems from corrosion during layup and standby — periods when the equipment is at ambient temperature and refrigerant dehumidifiers cannot operate at low-humidity setpoints. Museums and archival facilities with large collection storage areas, where tight humidity control across seasonal temperature swings is required, specify the MP-2700 where smaller MiniPAC units are under-capacity for the space volume.
At 2,700 CFM, the MP-2700 is sized for integration into building management systems rather than standalone operation — its MODBUS RS485 interface allows the unit to receive setpoint commands and report operating status to a central BAS or SCADA platform. This is particularly relevant in pharmaceutical GMP environments, cleanroom facilities, and automated manufacturing plants where humidity must be logged continuously for process validation and regulatory compliance. The 840 CFM reactivation exhaust must terminate at the building exterior with a duct system rated for the 0.98" wc static constraint — sizing this duct requires a mechanical engineer to account for duct length, fittings, and terminal conditions. The unit draws 61 full-load amps at 460V 3-phase; the dedicated circuit must be sized accordingly by a licensed industrial electrician. Reactivation exhaust must not be returned to the conditioned space under any configuration — it carries the full extracted moisture load and will negate the dehumidification output if recirculated.
