Alain Milliat grew up on a farm near Lyon — the son and grandson of farmers. After restoring the family orchard in Orlinas through 15 years of artisan cultivation, he looked beyond the land and founded a maison dedicated to transforming exceptional fruit into extraordinary juices, nectars, jams, and condiments.
In 1997, the first six Jus et Nectars were born. Alain sent samples to 60 Relais and Chateaux sommeliers and used their feedback to perfect his textures, sugar-acid balance, and color. That instinct for collaborative refinement built a brand now present in more than 40 countries, trusted by Michelin-starred restaurants, luxury hotels, and fine food retailers worldwide.
Today the Maison produces from Valence in the Drome — the heart of France's premier fruit basin. Over 50% of fruits are French-sourced, with tropical varieties transported by sea to minimize carbon impact. Every bottle is made from 70% recycled glass. The quality has never wavered from Alain's original vision: authentic fruit, nothing compromised.
