This kit uses medium boxes for the entire hive — brood chamber and honey supers alike — so every box, frame, and piece of equipment is interchangeable. No juggling two frame sizes or keeping separate stacks of deep and medium parts.

Why All-Medium

Every box in an all-medium hive is the same size, so frames, foundation, and even spare boxes are interchangeable between brood chamber and supers. The tradeoff: since mediums hold less volume than deeps, you'll run more boxes total to match the brood space of a deep-based hive.
