The Tornado Vortex 18 (model TS050-W18-U) runs two counter-rotating cylindrical brushes at 650 RPM behind an 1150W motor, scrubbing an 18-inch path at 4,844 sq. ft. per hour. Brush pressure reaches 170 g/cm², and the deck handles hard floors, rubber sports mats, commercial carpet, and escalators. A 40-inch cord supplies continuous power, the 1-gallon solution and 1-gallon recovery tanks keep the unit compact, and at 68 lbs and 71 dB it works in occupied gyms, schools, and transit spaces.
Facilities with surfaces a disc pad cannot reach are the target. Gyms and sports floors with rubber matting top the list, since flat pads ride over mat texture while the cylindrical brushes clean into it without tearing the surface. The same head clears grout lines and tile crevices in lobbies and concourses, and with the right brush selection it cleans escalator treads that would otherwise need a dedicated machine.
Two brushes turn toward each other at 650 RPM, lifting soil into the roll rather than pushing it ahead, which is why the Vortex 18 uses about 30% less water than a comparable disc scrubber. The 1-gallon solution tank feeds the brushes and the 1-gallon recovery tank captures the dirty water on the same pass.
A 26W pump meters solution to the deck, and the 40-inch cord keeps the brushes turning without battery downtime.
