Generously stuffed with Provolone and Prosciutto di Parma, our fiery homemade cherry poppers are a uniquely hearty treat that are ideal for snacking or as an addition to your next antipasti.

The Story

Staples in our shops since the 1970s, Cherry Poppers have been fixtures within the Di Bruno Brother family for much of the 20th century. Born from time-honored Italian-American customs in the kitchens of aunts of Di Bruno owners, William, Billy, and Emilio Mignucci, peppers were soaked in vinegar brine and stuffed with aged provolone and prosciutto. It wasn’t long before these delectable treats were introduced to Philadelphia locals and began flying out of the barrels. Demand has insisted that a team of culinary experts take over production of these handheld delights, but we guarantee our Homemade Cherry Poppers – now generously stuffed with Cremosa provolone and Prosciutto di Parma – are still made with the same care and devotion of their creators.
