Red Dragonfruit is usually picked when it's ripe and ready to eat. To know when it's at its best, look for a vibrant, even-colored skin, and the fruit should be slightly soft to the touch. The skin of the Red Dragonfruit is not edible, but the flesh can be easily scooped out with a spoon and enjoyed. Keep in mind that the red flesh may stain, so be cautious when handling this exotic fruit.
