It is one of four engine variants on the CA-4004 standard frame alongside Honda GX390 (1MAH), Kohler CH440 (1MAK), and Mi-T-M OHV (1MAM). The Vanguard is the choice for operations already running Briggs and Stratton Vanguard engines in generators, turf equipment, or other commercial machinery — consolidating parts and service across a Vanguard-engine fleet.
