58mm Metal Jar Lid

The 58mm Metal Jar Lid is the continuous thread closure for our Glass Paragon Honey Jars. It's a single-piece metal lid with a plastisol liner pressed into the interior — when you screw it down onto the jar, the liner compresses against the rim and creates a seal. No separate insert or sealing disc needed. The seal holds for honey storage and is rated for water bath canning up to 212°F, which makes it useful if you're bottling preserves or jam in the Paragon jars alongside honey.

One thing worth stating clearly: this is a continuous thread lid, not a lug lid. The Paragon jar uses a continuous thread finish — the same type of thread as our classic, queenline, and mason jars, just a different diameter. If you're looking for the lid for the Glass Skep or Glass Bear jars, those use a 58mm Metal Lug Lid, which is a mechanically different closure type. Both are 58mm in diameter but they are not interchangeable.

Note: Both the Lug Lid and the Jar Lid are 58mm in diameter but use different thread styles. Always confirm whether your jar is a lug thread or continuous thread finish before ordering. This is the most common ordering mistake across the 58mm lid family.
