As the label says, it's really just a richer version of La Moneuse, using 4 types of malt, hops, yeast, water, and sugar. The malt flavor is a little darker, roastier, and certainly sweeter, which distracts attention a bit from the earthiness which is so notable in La Moneuse. The beers share a lot of the same characteristics, but in different proportions. Like La Moneuse, Spéciale Noël is rather fizzy, with a rustic and unique character.
