Ebac CD425-D HVAC Dehumidifier – Model 10140BR-US (220V, 3-Phase, Gravity Drain)

The Ebac CD425-D (10140BR-US) is the 220V, gravity-drain configuration of the CD425-D refrigerant HVAC dehumidifier. Drawing 16A at 220V for 3.6 kW, it delivers 285 PPD extraction and 1,750 CFM airflow, reverse-cycle defrost to 33°F, and digital humidistat control — all identical to the other CD425-D variants. Without an internal pump, condensate drains by gravity, which requires a floor drain directly accessible below the unit. This is the simplest CD425-D configuration: fewer mechanical components, lower acquisition cost, and no pump maintenance.

CD425-D 10140BR-US – Key Specifications and Features

  • Model: 10140BR-US (CD425-D, 220V 3-phase, gravity drain)
  • Extraction rate: 285 PPD
  • Airflow: 1,750 CFM
  • Electrical: 220V, 3-phase, 60 Hz, 16A, 3.6 kW
  • Defrost system: reverse-cycle defrost
  • Operating temperature: 33°F to 95°F
  • Effective volume: 52,970 ft³
  • Condensate removal: gravity drain (no internal pump)
  • Control: digital adjustable humidistat
  • Construction: welded steel chassis, baked epoxy and vinyl coating
  • Dimensions: 43" W × 19" D × 47" H
  • Weight: 353 lbs

Where the CD425-D 10140BR-US Performs

International and older North American industrial facilities with 220V 3-phase distribution and proper floor drain infrastructure use the 10140BR-US as the most straightforward CD425-D installation. Warehouses designed with trench drains running beneath equipment positions and facilities where building codes specify gravity drainage for condensate systems are the primary environments. The absence of a pump means one fewer electrical component and eliminates condensate pump service intervals, which matters in facilities with infrequent maintenance schedules.

Selecting the Right CD425-D Configuration

220V with pump (10147BR-US) suits sites with 220V power and no nearby floor drain. 220V gravity drain (10140BR-US) suits sites with 220V power and accessible floor drainage. 460V with pump (10149BR-US) suits sites with 460V power and no nearby drain. 460V gravity drain (10148BR-US) suits sites with 460V power and accessible floor drainage. All configurations deliver 285 PPD at 1,750 CFM.
