Detailed Description

The Porter Bee Escape is an efficient and reliable device for removing bees from honey supers before harvesting. To use, simply attach the bee escape over the inner cover hole and place the inner cover directly beneath the honey boxes you plan to remove.

The Porter Bee Escape features two angled exit channels, designed to work as one-way doors. Bees travel down through the escape and into the brood boxes below—but have difficulty finding their way back up into the honey super. This leaves the honey box mostly empty of bees within just a few hours.

This method is entirely chemical-free, preserving the purity of your honey and keeping your hive undisturbed by fumes or repellents. However, it is important not to leave the escape in place for too long—bees are resourceful and may eventually figure out how to re-enter the super. For best results, install and remove it within the same day.
