At 175 RPM the 1 HP motor provides the torque to scrub, strip, and polish with the appropriate pad — the smaller motor is appropriately sized for the reduced pad area; a 1.5 HP motor on a 13" pad would be over-specified and add unnecessary weight to a compact machine. All-chrome metal housing resists cleaning chemical corrosion that is frequent in restroom cleaning environments where the machine contacts acid bowl cleaners, quaternary disinfectants, and floor stripper. Four-inch non-marking wheels give the C131-7 a tighter turning radius than the 5" wheels on larger machines, allowing complete passes in confined spaces.
