Dual-Speed Versatility for Scrubbing, Stripping, and Buffing

The NM202's dual-speed design means a single machine covers the full low-speed floor care spectrum without purchasing separate equipment. At 175 RPM with a black or red pad, it strips or scrubs hard floor finishes; switch to 320 RPM with a white or tan pad and the same machine spray buffs or polishes the same floor in the same session. The triple planetary gearbox distributes torque across three planetary gear sets rather than a single drive gear, reducing gear wear and preventing the catastrophic single-gear failure that direct-drive machines are susceptible to under continuous load. The rotationally molded polyethylene housing is stiffer than injection-molded plastic and absorbs vibration at both speed settings, reducing hand-arm fatigue on extended buffing runs. The 20" pad size covers 20% more area per pass than a 17" pad, reducing the number of passes required on large open floors.

NM202 vs. NM201HD — Dual-Speed vs. Single-Speed 20" Millennium Machine

The NM202 and NM201HD are both 20" Millennium Edition machines with 1.5 HP motors, triple planetary drive, polyethylene housing, and 10-year housing warranties. The NM202 adds the second speed (320 RPM) for spray buffing and polishing on top of the standard 175 RPM scrubbing speed. The NM201HD is a single-speed (175 RPM) machine — for facilities where buffing and polishing is handled by a dedicated burnisher and the floor machine is used exclusively for scrubbing, stripping, and heavy-duty cleaning, the NM201HD is the more economical specification.
