Kids get hot faster than adults during hive inspections, and a suit that's too warm means a cranky, distracted beekeeper-in-training. This suit uses the same triple-layer ventilated material as our adult ventilated suits, sized down for kids, so your child stays protected without overheating.

Key Features

  • Triple-layer ventilated material: the same sting-proof construction as our adult suits, not a lighter-duty kids version.
  • Round veil with elevated hat: full panoramic visibility during inspections.
  • Triple overlapping zippers with a veil lock: no gaps where bees can get in.
  • Elastic and velcro wrist/ankle cuffs: sealed openings at every entry point.
  • YKK zippers throughout, plus pockets for gloves, a hive tool, or whatever else your kid insists on bringing to the bee yard.

Size Guide

The best fit comes from two measurements, not age alone: torso (crotch to top of shoulder) and total height. Measure both and find the size where your child fits both columns — take your kid's build into account if they fall between two sizes.

Size Torso (A) Height (B) Approx. Age
XS 17-21" 44-48" 3-6
S 20-22" 48-52" 4-7
M 21-23" 52-56" 6-9
L 22-24" 56-60" 8-11

Age is a rough guide only — a tall 7-year-old at 55" typically wears a Medium, while an average 7-year-old closer to 48" would wear a Small. Go by torso and height first.

What to Watch For

This is a beige suit, and beige shows dirt and propolis stains. It washes fine on a gentle cycle, but don't expect it to stay show-room clean after a season of hive inspections.
