The Tornado BR 16/3 is a corded automatic floor scrubber with a 16" cylindrical brush head, dual 3-gallon removable tanks, and a 1.5 HP brush motor that spins the cylindrical brushes at 660 RPM. At 67 lbs and 15"L × 17"W × 44"H, it fits into service elevators, narrow aisles, and restroom corridors where ride-on or larger walk-behind scrubbers cannot maneuver. A productivity rate of 3,200 square feet per hour makes it practical for daily cleaning routines in retail, healthcare, food service, and education facilities. The cylindrical brush design picks up debris as it scrubs — functioning as a scrubber and sweeper in one pass — and the machine can strip hard floor finish by swapping in stripping brushes without any additional tooling.
The cylindrical brush head on the Tornado BR 16/3 is effective on textured and porous hard floor surfaces that disc scrubbers can miss — quarry tile with deep grout lines, paver brick, rubber flooring, non-slip ceramic tile in commercial kitchens, and architectural flooring with embossed or relief patterns. The brushes reach into surface texture and grout channels that a flat pad or disc would skim over. The 71 dB operating noise level allows the machine to run during business hours in occupied facilities — a meaningful advantage in healthcare settings, schools, and retail environments where noise complaints are a daily management issue. At 15" long and 17" wide with large transport wheels, the BR 16/3 fits through 18" doorways and maneuvers around display fixtures, hospital bed frames, cafeteria tables, and other close-clearance obstacles that stop wider machines.
The BR 16/3 strips hard floor finish by replacing the standard cleaning brushes with stripping brushes — no other hardware change needed. Adjustable brush pressure lets the operator increase downforce on heavily soiled areas or reduce it on sensitive floor coatings that would be damaged by aggressive scrubbing. The dual-chamber tank design uses two separate removable tanks — one for clean solution, one for dirty recovery water — that lift out independently for filling and emptying at any standard sink or floor drain. This means operators can service tanks without moving the machine to a utility closet, reducing turnaround time on larger floor areas. The forward and reverse drive allows the operator to scrub in both directions without turning the machine, which is useful in narrow corridors where a U-turn is not possible.
