16 oz (12 fl oz) Glass Paragon Jars
The 16 oz Glass Paragon Jar is the smaller of the two Paragon sizes — a 1-pound honey jar in a tall, straight-sided profile that stands apart from the standard oval and round jars in honey retail. The straight sides give labels more area to work with, and the taller height makes it stand out on a shelf or in a display where round jars tend to blur together. It reads a bit more structured and intentional than an oval classic jar — not heritage like the Muth, but clean and contemporary.
This jar holds approximately 16 oz (454 g) of honey by weight, or about 1⅓ cups. The fluid volume is 12 fl oz — which is why both numbers appear in the product name. Honey is sized and sold by weight across the industry, not liquid volume, so the weight-based capacity will always be higher than what you'd expect from the fluid ounce count alone. If you need to calculate how many jars to order for a harvest, use our honey jar calculator before ordering.
The jar uses a 58mm continuous thread finish. The 58mm Metal Jar Lid is the primary metal lid option. A 58mm Plastic Lid is also available. Both are sold separately.
A spec sheet for this jar is available for food safety documentation, label design, or procurement: 16 oz Paragon Jar Spec Sheet (PDF).
Key Features
- Tall straight-sided paragon shape — a distinct profile from oval classic jars. Taller footprint, cleaner lines, more label surface area.
- 16 oz honey capacity by weight — holds approximately 454 g (1⅓ cups) of honey; 12 fl oz by volume.
- 58mm continuous thread — fits the 58mm Metal Jar Lid and 58mm Plastic Lid (both sold separately). Note: this is a different lid size and type from the Skep and Bear jars, which use a 58mm lug lid.
- Clear glass, no tint — honey color shows through the straight walls clearly.
- Available as single jar, case of 12, or pallet of 3,168.
- Spec sheet available — download the PDF for detailed dimensions and technical data.
Lid Note
This jar uses a 58mm continuous thread lid — not a lug lid. The 58mm Lug Lid (used on the Glass Skep and Glass Bear jars) will not seal correctly on this jar. The correct lids are the 58mm Metal Jar Lid or the 58mm Plastic Lid. If you're running both Paragon jars and Skep/Bear jars, you'll need two different lid types — both happen to be 58mm in diameter but they are not interchangeable.
Shipping Note
Glass jars are available for local pickup at our store in Birmingham, Alabama, or can be shipped via ground or freight. Shipping glass is at the customer's risk — we're not responsible for breakage in transit, but you can add shipping insurance at checkout.
