The 1500 grit takes your edge refinement to razor-sharp levels while still maintaining some toothiness. The Glass Platens are used with our Diamond Lapping Film and put a beautiful, super fast polish on your blade. We suggest using the 6 Micron Diamond Lapping Film after the 1500 grit. These Diamond Stones have a break-in period of about 20 sharpening sessions and an average lifespan of 700 sharpenings.
