We want every chef, baker, brewer and maker to be able to shop with us, including customers with disabilities.

Specialty Food Source, a JN Kidds Distributors company, is constantly working to improve the accessibility of specialtyfoodsource.com. Accessibility is ongoing work for us, not a box we check once.

What we are working toward

Our goal is to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These are the guidelines most often used to measure website accessibility under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). We review the site, fix what we find, and build new pages with accessibility in mind.

What we have done so far

  • Pause buttons on the parts of the site that move on their own.
  • Stronger contrast on small text, form fields and buttons.
  • Clearer keyboard focus, and fixes so focus is not lost while you build an order.
  • Names and labels for screen readers on links, buttons, search and product listings.
  • Support for the reduced motion setting on your device.

Where you may still run into trouble

This work is not finished, and some parts of the site may not be fully accessible yet. Some features are provided by other companies, such as product reviews, live chat, our Instagram feed and checkout, and we have less control over how those work. Some product photos may still be missing descriptions.
