The bolita bean is a creamy-tan bean a little smaller than the pinto. It is high in protein, but a little sweeter with a creamier texture, and it is said to be easier on the digestive system.

This bean was one of the original varieties brought by the Spanish as they settled New Mexico. It is still grown by a few Spanish farms to this day, due to its dry bean, rich flavor and creamy texture. Ours come from a small family farm in southwestern Colorado. Better than the Pinto bean, this small bean cooks fast and is the tastiest part of several centuries of Four Corners area history.

Bolitas absorb whatever spice you add to them while cooking. Exceptional for BBQ beans, or cook with onion and salt for a simple breakfast dish full of fiber to start the day right!

Product packed in a facility that also handles nuts, peanuts, soy, sesame, and wheat. 1 lb and 5 lb sizes only.

Country of Origin: USA
