This is a replacement lid spring for the VCM 44. We highly recommend a pry bar when installing the spring. If you need a pry bar you can add it under the recommended products on this page. 

If you're already going to change the lid spring, we recommend you replace the brass bushings installed on both sides of the lid. If the bushings are loose the lid will not correctly align when locking the lid.
