London Twilight, 1500 Pc Puzzle

From above St. Katherine Docks Marina, this view takes in the new and the old with the towers of Tower Bridge so close and clear, you can see the detail in these beautiful structures. The drawbridge was completed in 1894 and spans the 800 feet across Thames River between the London boroughs of Tower Hamlets and Southwark. The towers rise 200 feet above the river and aesthetically complement the Tower of London, adjacent to where this image was taken. In contrast, The Shard is a 72-story modern skyscraper designed by Italian architect, Renzo Piano in the Southwark borough of London and completed in 2012. It is the tallest building in the United Kingdom at 1016 feet and has an observation deck on the 72nd floor at 801 feet giving the most spectacular view of London.
